This Douro white from Quinta dos Frades is a bold statement, aiming to redefine the region’s white wine offering. Gently hand-harvested grapes – predominantly Viosinho, with a touch of Malvasia Fina and Rabigato – undergo a delicate pressing process, clearly determined to retain their aromatic character. The extended aging on lees in stainless steel tanks has imparted a lovely vanilla note, alongside a vibrant fruit profile and a persistent mineral finish, reminiscent of a well-executed terroir.
