Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition of showcasing Portuguese wines to the world and a long‑term vision rooted in the quality of the wines sold, the novelty of its brands, and the presentation of its portfolio. Today led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly fulfils the goal set at its inception: to be a family‑driven, internationally focused company that prioritises the production of quality wines, innovation, and the development of Portuguese brands at a global level. The company owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards in Portugal. Casa Ferreirinha and its wines are synonymous with time and art. Since its 18th‑century founding by Bernardo Ferreira, the formula has been refined through successive generations, most notably by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who became affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” or “Ferreirinha‑da‑Régua” among the people of her homeland. Twice widowed, Dona Antónia led a large enterprise with admirable determination; her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to anticipate, decide, create, teach, and love, earning her a figure of great charisma and influence.
