Quinta Nogueira’s almost-religious dedication to extended aging truly unlocks the full expressive potential of their Sauvignon Blanc, Arinto, and Chardonnay grapes. Harvested with meticulous care and picked whole clusters, only the most ripe fruit makes its way into the fermentation process. Gentle pneumatic pressing ensures a delicate start, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and enriched by the subtle influence of French oak barrels – a touch that adds complexity without heavy-handedness. After a patient 160 days of batonnage, the wine achieved remarkable recognition, including 17 points from Grandes Escolhas and a prestigious Gold Medal at the Harvest 2017 competition, solidifying its reputation. Wonderful with oysters or a delicate white fish.
