Quinta Nogueira Reserva tinto is a wine from the Óbidos D.O. that places a strong emphasis on environmental and health concerns, with the grapes sourced from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards. It shows a ruby hue, with elegant aromas of forest fruits and woody notes from its barrel ageing. On the palate it delivers remarkable freshness, fine silky tannins, and a long, persistent finish. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738 and remained in the same family until the mid‑20th century; the current owners acquired it in the early 21st century. Its 20 hectares of vineyards sit on clay soils, shaped by the natural microclimate at the foot of the Serra de Todo-o‑Mundo and its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 20 km away. The ungrafted, non‑irrigated vines give the wines a unique character, unmatched freshness and natural salinity, marking them by their singularity.
