Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of exceptional beauty, located in the heart of the Douro, and has been owned by the Amorim family since 1999. The family’s connection to wine stretches back far, through ties to export houses in Vila Nova de Gaia via the cork trade, but that link eventually turned into a dream fulfilled, and the project now rests in the hands of the fourth generation. With a history of over 250 years, the estate showcases a preserved vine trailed through the years and the original 1764 cellar building, renovated under the direction of architect Arnaldo Barbosa.
