Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of exceptional beauty, located in the heart of the Douro, and has been owned by the Amorim family since 1999. The family's connection to wine dates back long ago, through ties to the export houses of Vila Nova de Gaia via the cork trade, but that link ultimately turned into the realization of a dream, and the project is now in the hands of the fourth generation. With a history of over 250 years, the estate displays a well‑preserved vine trace and the original 1764 cellar building, after interventions overseen by architect Arnaldo Barbosa.
