The Alicante Bouschet provides an initial, wonderfully structured grip, beautifully complemented by the Touriga Nacional’s grace. A touch of ripe black fruit, distinctly echoing the schistous Douro terroir, comes from the Aragonez. Seriously, it pairs brilliantly with a good roast duck and truffle mashed potatoes – a flavour combination that truly sings.
