This Raríssimo from Osvaldo Amado clearly spent a good while maturing in French oak – a full 36 months, lending it a delightful complexity and a touch of elegance. The vibrant citrus notes on the nose hint at a wine that unfolds with flavours of dried fruits, toasted grain, and a subtle bakery-like quality – it’s almost as if it just came out of the oven! The palate is refreshingly smooth and persistent, a truly enjoyable experience that pairs wonderfully with fish spiced with aromatic herbs or, perhaps, a hearty roast – just don’t over-season it.
