This Raríssimo, hailing from the Dão, is a testament to what passion can achieve. Crafted in limited editions by Osvaldo Amado himself, this 2011 vintage is the result of utterly meticulous attention – complete délestage and natural static lees aging, fermentation in 2nd-use French oak barrels, and a patient 36-month maturation. It’s a drinking experience only truly realised when the winemaker and the wine are utterly in harmony. Prepare for a complex wine, certainly one that will surprise you – ideally paired with grilled white meats or fish with citrus-based sauces.
