The Remírez de Ganuza range captures the essence of Fernando Remírez de Ganuza’s wines. They are produced exclusively from the finest grape clusters harvested from vines averaging 70 years old, and aged in new French and American oak barrels. Founded in 1989 by Fernando Remírez de Ganuza, Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza has always adhered to a rigorous grape selection process and minimal intervention in winemaking. Over the years, new winemaking and ageing techniques have been introduced to continually improve product quality and meet current market demands. The facilities are located in central Samaniego, Álava, surrounded by a village of wandering old buildings, so the cellar preserves a similar style to blend with the landscape. In 2010, Jose Ramon Urtasun joined the company started by Fernando, ushering in a new chapter for Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza. (Illustrative image only)
