The Remírez de Ganuza range reflects the essence of the wines of Fernando Remírez de Ganuza. The wines are produced exclusively from the finest bunches of grapes, sourced from vineyards with an average age of 70 years, and aged in new French and American oak barrels. Founded in 1989 by Fernando Remírez de Ganuza, Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza continues to operate under its original premise: ensuring a rigorous grape selection process and minimal intervention in the winemaking process. Over the years, new techniques for the production and ageing of Remírez de Ganuza wines have been introduced in order to constantly improve the quality of its products and meet the current needs of the markets. The Remírez de Ganuza winery is located in the centre of Samaniego, in Álava, and is surrounded by a village of old, sprawling buildings; for this reason, the cellar has maintained that same style so as to blend into the landscape. In 2010, Jose Ramon Urtasun joined the company founded by Fernando, thus ushering in a new phase for Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza. (image for illustrative purposes only)
