This Sangiovese, hailing from the legendary Le Macìe, clearly had a rather privileged upbringing. It spent fifteen days contemplating maceration, seeking the complexity only the Castellina in Chianti terroir can provide. Following this, eighteen months aging in Troncais oak delivered a remarkable smoothness and elegance. It seems this wine is still contemplating its future, benefiting from a year of bottle maturation before fully revealing its magnificence – ideally paired with a hearty grilled steak and roasted potatoes.
