This Loureiro from Palácio Palmeira is surprisingly smooth and elegant, evoking the flavour of ripe Sicilian lemons – thankfully without the typical sharpness you sometimes find in Vinho Verde. The texture is wonderfully silky, and balanced acidity makes it absolutely perfect alongside fresh seafood, perhaps a seafood rice or grilled fish. A genuinely refined wine, deserving of a good little snack to accompany it.
