This Rozes is a shimmering wine, hinting at a complexity that suggests it’s spent some time fraternising with the Douro’s deities. Initially, you’ll pick up notes of sun-dried peach, plump golden raisins, and ripe pear, subtly spiced – a nod to its Verdelho heritage. On the palate, a distinct calciferous minerality, rooted in the local terroir, provides a medium body and a dry finish that lingers with Malvasia Fina’s renowned elegance. A truly beautiful wine, and a worthy winner of a World’s Best Wine medal – ideal alongside a classic Bacalhau à Brás.
