Born from Luís Duarte’s deep passion in 2007 on the Monte do Carrapatelo, this Rubrica is a meticulously crafted wine produced across ten hectares. The blend – Aragonez, Petit Verdot, Touriga Nacional, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet – is treated with the care it deserves, resulting in a wine that’s already earned critical acclaim, including 95/100 from Wine Enthusiast and 92/100 from Robert Parker. Expect a vibrant, deep garnet colour and a complex bouquet of fresh black fruit, spice, and a hint of mint. The extended 12-month ageing in new French oak barrels adds remarkable elegance, perfectly balancing fine tannins with a refreshing acidity and a long, lingering finish. Seriously impressive – a true gem from the Alentejo, it pairs beautifully with grilled octopus or a hearty partridge stew.
