Ruelas – The Region The Geographical Indication Lisboa is one of the most important Portuguese regions in terms of vineyard area and wine production. Comprised of gentle hills with low relief, the GI Lisboa stretches from the capital northwards to Pombal, always along the coast, within a belt that never exceeds 40 km in width. A multifaceted region, it includes various old and modern origin designations, each with distinct characteristics. The climate is temperate with Atlantic influence, featuring relatively mild summers, cooler and more humid near the sea, and warmer and drier in zones sheltered by the Montejunto range. HISTORY Ruelas was born to mirror the singularity of Portuguese pavement. In homage to the master pavement makers, if not for the art of their work – a national symbol – and one of the oldest professions in the country, the production of these wines was carried out with care, time, and great passion. VINIFICATION AND STAGES Fermented in small‑capacity stainless‑steel tanks. ENOGLOGIST Carlos Eduardo.
