Sandeman 20 years is made from a careful selection of Port wines chosen to age in wooden barrels. With an amber colour, it presents a rich, elegant and complex blend of flavours featuring apricots, honey, nuts, spices and vanilla. The House of Sandeman was founded in London in 1790 by George Sandeman, a young Scotsman from Perth who invested 300 pounds, borrowed from his father, in a Port and Jerez wine trading business. A pioneer from the start, Sandeman was the first company to mark a cask on fire with its own name, guaranteeing the quality of the wine it sold. Over more than two centuries, Sandeman has built its success on a rare capacity for innovation and on expertise passed down from generation to generation. Today, led by the Portuguese company Sogrape Vinhos, Sandeman proudly positions itself as the “world’s” brand of Port and Jerez and proudly signs off with: “Sandeman, Famous for Pleasure”.
