The bottles of old wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. Garrafeira Nacional stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even sealed in a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, since it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being sealed.
