This São Leonardo from 20 years ago is a real journey into a private vineyard. The deep golden hue hints at the experience to come, with aromas of nuts and spices – a result of a particularly generous barrel aging – revealing the soul of the Douro. On the palate, sweetness and acidity dance in perfect harmony, supported by a long, persistent finish worthy of a wine of this age. Absolutely delightful with game birds or aged cheeses.
