Seisdedos Juita is a distinctive white wine that blends the subtle hues of the Rufete branca grape with the typical touches of Jerez wines, achieved by ageing in small barrels to induce the characteristic oxidation of fortified wines, lightly veiled by a fine floral whisper. The wine’s name, and its label, reference Juita, a grotesque figure who, every holy Friday, draws the Nazareno to his crucifixion in the municipality of La Alberca, Salamanca. The sculpture, dating from the early 17th century, portrays irreverence—an unexpected flourish in such a solemn religious setting.
