An Alentejo wine crafted from Bical, Fernão Pires, Alvarinho, Verdelho and Arinto, all from old vines, it ferments in stainless‑steel tanks and then spends eight months maturing on fine lees in amphorae, which adds structure and creaminess. On the nose it is pure and fresh, with floral and herbaceous notes resting on a citrus backdrop. On the palate it is elegant, marked by excellent acidity. Dirk Niepoort and Ljubomir Stanisic once again collaborate to create a surname that defies pronunciation. Father and son Dirk and Daniel join Ljubomir to blend accents, flavours, aromas and ingredients, uniting the glass with the pot and the knife with the bottle. (illustrative image)
