Description

Based on its age, wines may show signs of aging such as dust residue on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar ensures that all wines are kept at the correct temperature and humidity, but it also preserves the visual appearance that comes with their age. We typically choose brands and regions that perform well in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like all living things, is exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the quality of an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe beforehand, which helps release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
