White wine produced from Chenin Blanc grapes, sourced from a single 55‑year‑old vineyard on the slopes of Bottelary Hills. Slow fermentation, one month on fine lees and nine months in French and Hungarian oak barrels give this wine an exuberant, versatile, and harmonious profile. It presents a medium‑intensity yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose, stone‑fruit aromas of peach and apricot dominate, with subtle hints of vanilla. In the mouth it reveals a smooth texture, balanced with a fresh, fruity finish. Stellenrust was founded in 1928 and has since produced some of the finest quality wines that the Stellenbosch region of South Africa can offer. The estate spans about 400 hectares of vineyards, half of which lie in the Golden Triangle of Stellenbosch, internationally recognised for some of the best red‑wine soils in South Africa, and the other half is situated high on Bottelary Hills, famous for its cool climate and sea breezes, which lend a harmonious profile to both white and red wines. Stellenrust today prides itself on being one of the largest family‑run estates in South Africa, passing winemaking knowledge to successive generations who continue to adopt the legacy of the motto “Where Excellence Meets Oenology”, mentioned on every bottle of its wines.
