This Tapada do Chaves, hailing from altitudes nearing 400 metres, is a bold statement of intent from the Alentejo. Harvested meticulously, entirely by hand, it unveils an exceptional wine deeply rooted in tradition. The careful maceration – a deliciously languid five days – expertly extracts the full potential of Trincadeira, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional, delivering a flavour profile destined to linger in the memory. Following a period of maturation in varied-sized barrels, the wine has found its perfect equilibrium, patiently awaiting its moment of peak expression. Wonderful with black pork or hearty bean dishes.
