Tenuta Guado al Tasso is situated in the small, prestigious Denominazione di Origine Controllata of Bolgheri, on the coast of Alta Maremma, about a hundred kilometres southwest of Florence. This designation has a relatively brief history. Established in 1994, it now enjoys international acclaim as a new benchmark in the global wine scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso spans roughly 320 hectares of vineyards on a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the “Bolgheri amphitheatre” because of its distinctive layout. The Antinori family has been engaged in wine production for over six hundred years. Since 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the family has always managed the venture directly, making innovative and sometimes daring choices while preserving an unwavering respect for tradition and the land.
