This audacious venture by Marquês de Incisa – planting Cabernet Sauvignon smack-dab in the heart of Tuscany in the 40s – really did pave the way for the Bolgheri we know today. Tenuta San Guido, with its sprawling vineyards, isn't just a winery, it’s a testament to a truly pioneering vision, resulting in a remarkably complex aromatic and structural profile, deeply rooted in that singular terroir. And, of course, it’s garnered the prestigious DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia designation – perfect alongside a really good steak, wouldn't you say?
