The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar takes care to store all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it always preserves the visual appearance that comes with the wine’s age. We select brands/regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism that is exposed to time, and even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. As such, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, since it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be patient so you can detect the appearance of sediment, which a wine of this age tends to produce. (Illustrative image)
