The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands and regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in old wine tastings. However, we want to point out that wine is a living organism that, even within a bottle, is subject to different evolutions over time. Accordingly, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently so you can detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
