Description

This Terracota, hailing from the “Vinhas Velhas” vineyard in the Dão, is a delightfully bold introduction – a shimmer of brilliance that promises what’s to come. The nose unfolds with a fascinating complexity: beeswax, dried elderflower, and a subtle spice, a true reflection of the terroir. On the palate, a firm and growing acidity provides a wonderful mouthfeel and structure, culminating in a lingering, saline finish. Notably, the use of terracotta amphorae for fermentation, expertly overseen by enólogo Tiago Macena, imparts a uniquely textured experience, echoing the granite and clay from which it sprung. Perfect with seafood or grilled fish, of course.
