The Tranca da Barriga red wine is made from the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Trincadeira, and Jaen grapes. The vines grow on granite and limestone clay soils in the Beira Interior region. After six months of aging in French oak barrels, the wine displays an intense ruby colour with purple undertones and a harmonious aroma that blends blackcurrant and wild‑fruit notes with dried‑fruit and spice nuances. On the palate it is full and supple, with good structure and body, and finishes long and highly persistent.
