Within its namesake range, Ultreia Mencía is probably the most representative of the Bierzo style. It is made from the region’s queen red grape variety, sourced from several plots spread across Valtuille de Abajo, whose soils are largely clayey but also sandy and stony. It is a round, very approachable wine, ideal for daily consumption.
