This Vale do Gaio Reserva is a real showstopper – the initial aromas are intensely layered, practically arguing about the dominance of zinfandel and chocolate. On the palate, it’s a supremely smooth experience, showcasing the elegance of the Touriga Nacional grapes and the robust character of the Aragonez. Definitely a wine for a hearty beef roast, or perhaps simply enjoyed with crusty bread and olive oil.
