The bottles of the older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with their age. We select brands and regions that, by tradition, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we want to make it clear that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, has aromas that evolve over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand; this helps release its natural aromas after many years of being sealed. If you decide to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently so you can detect the sediment that an aged wine tends to develop. (illustrative image only)
