The Vall da Nogueirinha Reserva tinto is made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Amarela. It is aged for about 12 months in French oak barrels, giving it aromatic complexity with notes of ripe red fruit, spices, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is full‑bodied, with well‑integrated tannins, good acidity, and a persistent, elegant finish. Powerful Douro is a project by Marco Almeida Correia that is based in the Douro and produces its wines from traditional Douro blends. The Douro region is one of the most beautiful and historic in Portugal. Located in the northeast of the country, it is bordered by the Douro River, which winds through deep and steep valleys.
