Description

This Valle Longo White, born on the slopes of the Lower and Upper Douro, is a wonderfully restrained and refreshing wine. Following a complete délestage and a gentle touch during pressing, the yeasts unlock their potential, leading to a carefully controlled fermentation that brilliantly retains the fresh fruit and floral aromas. Regular lees stirring (batonnage) and six months aging on fine lees have polished the wine, giving it a creamy texture and a long, lingering finish – a truly exquisite expression of Gouveio, alongside Códega and Viosinho. It’s a smart choice, utterly predictable in its elegance, and ideal with a light meal or a seafood risotto.
