Casal de Vale Pradinhos is a farming estate covering 450 hectares, founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family ever since. The wines produced here blend native varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina with renowned international grapes, notably Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling. Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas, great‑granddaughter of founder Manoel Pinto de Azevedo, is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos. She has been steering the estate’s vision in the wines made here since taking control in 1994, and her daughter Maria will be the fourth generation of women directly involved in its management.
