The Transmontanas Caves established their notoriety and uniqueness by exclusively producing Premium Sparkling wines. The company began its activity in the 1980s with an ambitious project to produce high‑quality sparkling wines in the Douro region, made by the Classic Method, and later also invested in still wine production. Located in Alijó, it benefits from the Mediterranean microclimate of the Cima Corgo sub‑region, producing not only sparkling wines with the right freshness and aromatic profile, but also dense and complex still wines.
