This Syrah from Vicentino Gama possesses a wonderfully saline finish, hinting at a conversation with the Atlantic – quite literally! The robotic foot treading in stainless steel vats at a cool 26°C seems to have coaxed out beautiful notes of black currant and graphite, perfectly echoing the influence of the Alentejo coastline. A genuinely intriguing wine, it would pair beautifully with grilled white fish, I’d wager.
