This Vicentino, crafted from robust Alentejo Touriga Nacional, is the kind of wine that instantly puts a smile on your face. The hand-harvested grapes, carefully collected in 15kg boxes, speak volumes about the dedication involved. Following a gentle 4-day maceration to coax out the best of the fruit, fermentation took place at a cool 24°C for 10 days, then it matured for a period in French oak barrels, adding subtle vanilla and spice notes – delightfully restrained. The result is a wine with a silky texture, a firm structure and a lingering, saline finish, ideally paired with a perfectly grilled fish or a hearty cut of beef.
