This Vidago Villa Grande Reserva certainly appears to have enjoyed a lavish upbringing – that vanilla and coconut aroma hints at a generous time in oak, a welcome indulgence indeed. The Touriga Francesa and Touriga Nacional deliver a remarkably polished fruit expression, as one would expect from a wine aiming for a gracefully aged character. It’s still a wonderfully full-bodied wine, young and brimming with potential, and undoubtedly a fantastic accompaniment to a hearty beef dish.
