This Villa Alvor is a delightfully quirky blend – a marriage of Trincadeira, Sauvignon and Antão Vaz that’s certainly given the winemakers a bit of a challenge. The Sauvignon brings a welcome burst of freshness, though it’s battling valiantly (and perhaps unsuccessfully) against the tannins of the Aragonez and Touriga Nacional.
