Villa Nogueira Harvest Tinto

Villa Nogueira Harvest Tinto is a wine with the denomination of origin Óbidos. In its production a special emphasis is placed on environmental and health considerations, with the grapes sourced from vineyards certified under Integrated Production standards. The wine displays an intense ruby colour, menthol‑ and balsamic‑toned flavours, blended with aromas of forest berries and subtle wood notes. It offers a fresh, lively palate and mature, silky tannins. Quinta do Porto Nogueira was founded in 1738, in the first half of the eighteenth century, and remained in the same family’s ownership until the second half of the twentieth century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of the twenty‑first century. The 20 hectares of vineyard on the estate are planted on clay soils, influenced by the natural microclimate at the foot of the Serra de Todo‑o‑Mundo and the proximity—about 20 km—to the Atlantic Ocean. A dry‑farmed vineyard that possesses unique characteristics, unrivalled freshness, and a natural salinity, giving the wines a distinctive character. (Illustrative image only)
