This Touriga Nacional is a veteran – born from an 80-year-old vineyard in the Dão, where a glorious mix of grape varieties was the established order. Harvested in 2009, this carefully selected 3500kg lot showcases impressive skill. The winemaking, using a cement tank with patient maceration, combined with a year ageing in French oak barrels, delivers a wonderfully velvety texture and a lingering finish. Seriously, it begs for a pairing with duck or grilled dogfish – a match made in Dão heaven!
