The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is consistent with their age. The National Wine Store commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We conduct a selection of brands/regions that, normally, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of older wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Wine Store cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an older wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which an older wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
