This Douro Moscatel, patiently aged for nearly 20 years, clearly benefitted from a very careful custodian. The producer’s deliberate use of brandy hints at a deep respect for established methods. Remarkably, it still maintains a delightful balance of sweetness and acidity – a testament to the careful selection of these DOP-certified grapes. Seriously, it’s fantastic with aged cheeses or a slice of almond pastry.
