Veiga França wines are a brand with a long history at Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques in 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was formed between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and João Joaquim Henriques, giving rise to the name Henriques & Henriques. From the very beginning, Henriques & Henriques has occupied a prominent position in viticulture and the art of winemaking. In 1913 the family interests were incorporated into a family company that, in 1925, began operating as an exporter of its wines rather than supplying them locally to other exporters. Since then the company has embraced the latest technological innovations while preserving the unaltered family tradition that has lasted 200 years in producing the finest Madeira wines.
