According to its age, the wines may show signs of time, such as dust specks on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels, which is common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar ensures that all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to maintain the visual appearance that reflects their age. We generally select the brands/regions that usually perform well in vintage wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism that, like everything else, is exposed to time, and even inside a bottle the aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe beforehand, as this will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
