Everything began in 1918, when Manoel Domingues Poças Jr., born in the heart of the Port wine frenzy, decided to start his own business. At about 30 years old, Manoel Poças already had some experience in the field, and together with his uncle, founded a company that supplied brandies to major Port wine producers. Years later, he established the headquarters of his business in Vila Nova de Gaia, where it has remained to this day. The entire Poças family shared their passion for wine, blending respect for tradition with an openness to the innovations brought by newer generations. Today, with three estates in the finest locations of the Douro D.O., Poças has complete control over the quality of its wines. The year of bottling may not match the image presented.
