Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the historic estates of Sauternes. A rigorous selection process, both in the vineyard and in the cellars, guides the production of Château Suduiraut wines, which embody the success of this exceptional terroir. Certified High Environmental Value, the estate comprises 91 hectares of vineyards on clay-sand soil, where the stones capture the heat of the sun and allow the grapes to reach maturity more quickly. The carefully chosen proportions of grape varieties are decisive in the unique profile of the wines. 90% of the vines at Suduiraut are Sémillon and 10% are Sauvignon Blanc. Sémillon is a traditional grape of the region and, when affected by noble rot, it develops a broad structure on the palate, bringing considerable richness and sweetness to the wine.
