Garrafeira Nacional commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always preserves the visual appearance that comes with their age. We typically select brands or regions that perform well in old‑wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism that, like all living things, is exposed to time, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Therefore, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe beforehand, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
